The Matters module lists the matters (cases) of your firm. From here you can create matters, find them with filters and open their dashboards.
Every matter has a status that shows where it is in its life cycle: Open, Hold or Closed.
The Timeline tab shows the history of a matter in date order: participants added, bills created, documents, payments and other events. Next to it you see the upcoming deadlines, the pending items and a snapshot of the matter.
The E-Signatures module lists the documents of your firm that were prepared for electronic signature, with their signature status, the matter they belong to and a full audit log of the signing process.
The Matter dashboard brings together everything about one matter: client, case details, balances, activities, documents, communications and more, organized in tabs.
The Settlement Ledger tab tracks the settlement of a contingency fee matter: the gross amount received, the case costs, medical liens and client advances to pay from it, the attorney fees, and the net amount for the client.
Document templates let you generate documents for a matter, contact or request with their data filled in automatically, such as a fee agreement with the client’s name. You manage them in Settings.
Practice areas group your matters by type of law, such as Family or Personal Injury. For each practice area you can add a custom form with extra fields for its matters, suggested deadlines and default document folders.
The Deadlines tab of a matter lists its legal deadlines, such as the statute of limitations or a filing deadline. You can add deadlines one by one or apply the deadline template of the practice area, and get reminders before they are due.
