Understanding Requests module
Through this guide you will learn the basics of the Requests window explaining its main elements and what actions you can perform from the window.

Composition of the Requests window
To access the Requests window, simply click the Requests ( ) link on the left side panel. From the Requests window you will be able to filter and manage existing requests as well as create new ones.
The structure of the Requests window is as follows:
- Action buttons: Each button allows you to perform the action indicated by its name:
- Add Request button: This button allows you to create a new request.
- Record Request Payments: This button allows you to record a payment for any existing Approved request.
- Status filters: Allows you to narrow a search by showing only one of the two types of requests in a given state.
- Filter panel button: This button opens the filter panel to perform advanced searches for requests. It is recommended that you use the available filters in conjunction with the status filters.
- Column filter: This filter shows all available columns of the request table. Selecting or deselecting a column will show or hide it, the table will always resize automatically.
- Help button: Available throughout Maatdesk, Help buttons provide direct links to the documentation in Maatdesk Support for the window, module, or panel it is in.
- Table with all requests: This is the main element of the Requests window.
It shows the requests created based on the applied filters, their main information and also allows actions to be taken directly on them.
- Summary: Shows the total amount of requests (how much must be paid) and the total balance (how much is left to pay). You will also see the number of requests shown in the table.
Structure of the Request table
The request table consists of a header with its rows. Each row will be a request and its most relevant elements are:
- Edit button and action selector (
): The first element opens a panel to update the request (only for requests in Draft), the second will expand a list of options that will be the following:

- Request status and ID: The first item shows the current status of the request, the second will be a link to the Request Details window.
- Each status of a request will be in a different color for better identification.

- Next to the request ID, if it contains an associated Payment Plan, a badge will be displayed informing of the existence of this element.
- Another badge allows identifying which request is of the Trust type.
- Each status of a request will be in a different color for better identification.
- Matter: Shows which matter the request was created for and its status, it also provides access to the Matter dashboard that shows all the information about the matter.
- Rest of the request information: Shows the most important content of a request, for example: when it was issued and when it is due or its total amount.
